Charity Donations

Donate to us

There are many different ways you can donate towards the support of the homeless and those recovering from homelessness in Thetford.  You could:

  • Make a financial donation towards the cost of running our centre

  • Donate food

  • Donate toiletries

  • Donate camping equipment

  • Donate clothes and shoes

Donate Money

It costs a lot to run our centre and provide the vital support needed by our guests.  We are entirely volunteer led so every penny donated goes directly towards the support of the homeless and those recovering from homelessness.  Rent of our annex is the biggest cost and if you read our objectives you will see exactly what we will spend your donation on.

If you would like a receipt please leave your name and email in the comments box.  Thank you. â€‹

Grilled Cheese

Donate Food

At all our sessions we offer cheese toasties, pot noodles, porridge pots, biscuits and crisps.  On Saturday we also offer bacon baps.

We would be very grateful for donations towards this.  If you want to pick up an extra packet or two of lean bacon while doing your shopping (or any of the other items) and pop them into us during one of our sessions that would be wonderful.  All we ask is that all packets are sealed and have at least one week before their sell by date.

Donate Toiletries

We use lots of shower gels, toothpaste, tooth brushes, flannels, soaps and shave gel/foam.  We use these for showers at our centres and to give away to our guests.  We also give away sanitary pads when we have them.  In the summer we also offer suntan creams.

We also need towels for guests to use in our shower.

Donate Camping Equipment

Many of our homeless guests camp in Thetford Forest.  What little equipment they have works very hard and wears out very quickly.  Whilst our aim is always to support a pathway out of homelessness we recognise the need to do everything we can to make life bearable on this journey.

So we try to provide:

Tents

Sleeping bags (especially cold weather bags)

Sleeping Mats

We would love to accept all donations of good quality and clean camping equipment.

Donate Clothing and Shoes

Clothes and shoes do not last long in the harsh environment of the forest or the streets, so we are regularly asked for replacement clothing from underwear to all-weather coats.  We accept good quality and clean men's and women's clothing.  Smaller sizes are in the most demand.

We always need shoes, trainers and boots and socks.

At the moment this is all we need as our stocks of other clothes is very high.
